Guy grinds up his computer, turns it into a sculpture that had been designed by the computer
This one's kind of confusing, but it's cool and cyclical: A man built a computer, then designed a sculpture on the computer using AI, then he ground up his computer into dust and made it the sculpture that the computer had designed.
Very interesting stuff, and if I were super rich, this is probably one of the few art pieces I would ever actually consider buying. It ended up selling at auction for $6,875 (bidding started at $3,000). The computer parts alone probably cost >$1,500, and it definitely took a while to make this, so I'm glad that this guy's investment and risk managed to pay off.
It also reminds me of Project 3, combining data and sculpture.
And I think it's a beautiful object as well.
