Another Cork House
Maddy's previous post reminded me of an article I read on New York Times earlier about the Corkscrew House in Berlin that uses cork for its residential building and discusses its sustainability. It's described as a "wonder product in terms of sustainability" as it is weatherproof, offers thermal and acoustic insulation, and is lightweight. The material is also very easy and flexible, smooth to work with, as you can see the details in this image,
It has stayed intact through sun, rain, and nasty weather, and I'm excited to hear more news in the near future about further development of this project!
