Airpods as a fossil

This article is pretty fantastic, and it touches on a lot different aspects of our current era. Cleverly, the author manages to pull together several different defining characteristics of our age by using Airpods as a focal point. The author discusses how Airpods encapsulate the current state of social and economic inequality, human and labor rights, global politics, the pace of innovation and the effects of technology, and humanity's impact on the environment.

It's a very well-written article, although my personal opinion of Airpods is much less critical than the author's. Except regarding the pollution aspect and focus on Right-to-Repair / strategic obsolescence.
