Why Art Thrives at Burning Man

Above are some pictures of artwork from Burning Man...
When I think about art outside, I think of Burning Man. Growing up knowing people who would go to Burning Man when it started and still go now, I think of grand art pieces that look like they could be apart of another world. So when we were assigned project 4, huge sculptures filled my head. Although I do not have the time or skills to create something anywhere close to what these artists do for Burning Man, I came across this TedTalk video from a museum curator talking about why the art at Burning Man is so successful. It's a short 10-minute video if anyone wants to watch it.

What I liked about the video is she describes the artwork in which is created and explains why she thinks art thrives in this type of community and how art that is produced for Burning Man would not be seen in refined art communities.
