His Art, Their Ideas

In light of the conversation we had about "stealing" works or art and to what extent we should draw the line, I found this interesting article written recently discussing Robert Indiana, the artist of the famous LOVE sculpture who passed away last May. Mr. Indiana’s art publisher, Michael McKenzie, and Mr. Indiana’s caretaker, Jamie L. Thomas, have been entangled in a dispute in federal court after the company that has the rights to sell works based off the LOVE design sued the two men for taking advantage of the old age of Mr. Indiana and produced inauthentic works to sell. Definitely an interesting read, found here: https://www.nytimes.com/2019/01/18/arts/design/robert-indiana-artist-legal-dispute.html
